Located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Drummond Island is approximately an hour’s drive from the Mackinac Bridge and is accessible by car, plane or boat. If you are traveling by car, you will need to take a car ferry from De Tour Village to Drummond Island. The ferry schedule and rates can be found below. 

Tips for boarding the ferry:

• Wait in line until a crew member waves you on, then follow their instructions.
• Absolutely NO smoking on the ferry.
• No cell phone use while loading the ferry.
• If the ferry is full and takes off without you, they will be back.
• You do not need reservations for the ferry, just get in line.
• There is no public restroom on the ferry. There are port-o-johns on the Drummond side and a brick-and-mortar restroom on the DeTour side.
• Turn headlights off while loading at night so you do not blind the deckhand.
